Email signatures

An animated email signature, in your own hand.

Draw your signature once and download it as an animated GIF that writes itself out, plus a still PNG for anywhere animation isn’t shown.

A handwritten signature writing itself out in dark ink on paper

How it works

Three steps.

  1. 01

    Draw your signature

Sign with a finger, mouse, trackpad or Apple Pencil. Steady hand smooths shaky lines, and you can reshape any curve by its points or trace a photo of your signature.

  2. 02

    Pick a look

Choose one of seven looks, such as Ink on Paper for light email backgrounds, and add a line of text under your name if you like. The preview updates as you go.

  3. 03

    Download the GIF and PNG

Choose Email signature on the export step. You get a GIF that loops and a transparent PNG of the final frame. Add the GIF as an image in your email app’s signature settings.

Formats

What you download.

  • GIF

Loops everywhere, including email. Widths of 480, 800, 1200 px.

  • Transparent GIF

Transparent background with a matched edge, for colored email templates.

  • PNG

The final frame, 3000 px wide, transparent. Use it where animation isn’t allowed.

Questions

Good to know.

Will the GIF animate in my email?

Most email apps show GIFs. Where animation isn’t allowed or isn’t shown, use the PNG of the final frame instead.

How much does it cost?

Drawing, styling and previewing are free, without an account. Downloading a signature uses one from a pack: 5 for $1.99, 15 for $4.99, 50 for $12.99. A pack is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and unused signatures don’t expire.

Should I use my legal signature?

We recommend a stylized brand signature rather than the one you sign contracts with.

Can I change it later?

Yes. Restyle and re-download an unlocked signature as often as you like, for free, from My signatures on any device.
