How to make a signature logo for photography

    Draw your signature

    Sign with a finger, mouse, trackpad or Apple Pencil. Steady hand smooths shaky lines, and you can reshape any curve by its points or trace a photo of your signature.

  2. 02

    Add the line underneath

    Type “Photography”, “Films” or your studio name, then pick the font, size, spacing and gap to the signature. Choose a look such as Classic White or Gold Foil.

    Download your logo kit

    Choose Print / static logo for the PNG and static SVG, then Instagram or your editor for the animated version. An unlocked signature includes every format.

Setup guides

Use your signature logo as a watermark and an intro

The same drawing exports as a still watermark and as a reveal, so your photos, films and site carry one mark.

  • Lightroom Classic watermark

    1. Open Edit (Lightroom on a Mac), Edit Watermarks.
    2. Choose Graphic as the watermark style and pick your transparent PNG.
    3. Set opacity, size and anchor, then save it as a preset.
    4. Pick the preset under Watermarking in the Export dialog.

  • Reels and client films

    1. Export the 9:16 MP4 to post as is, or the overlay MP4 to place over footage.
    2. In CapCut, Final Cut or DaVinci, set the overlay’s blend mode to Screen for light ink.
    3. Put it at the end with a second or two of hold.

    1. Use the animated SVG in a plain <img> tag in your header or about page.

Photography signature logo questions

What is a signature logo for photographers?

A logo made from your handwritten name, often with “Photography” underneath. It’s used as a watermark on photos, on your site and social profiles, and as an intro or outro on video.

Can I use it as a Lightroom watermark?

Yes. Lightroom Classic takes a PNG as a graphic watermark under Edit Watermarks. Use the transparent 3000 px PNG.

Can I change the text under the signature?

Yes. Restyle an unlocked signature, including its text line, as often as you like for free, and re-download every format.

Can I use it for client work?

Yes, it’s your signature. Use the files commercially, including on client galleries and films.

How much does it cost?

Drawing, styling and previewing are free, without an account. Downloading a signature uses one from a pack: 5 for $1.99, 15 for $4.99, 50 for $12.99. A pack is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and unused signatures don’t expire.
